Manufacturer introduction
Russian synthetic rubber and plastic producer PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim was founded in 1967 and is one of the largest petrochemical producers in Europe.
The company carries out production in the Republic of Tatarstan where its major plants are located. The company is a member of the TAIF Group which consists of 67 subsidiary and affiliate companies.
The company also produces polyisoprene IR (43% share of the global market) and is also one of the world’s leading butyl rubber (IIR) producers.
Nizhnekamskneftekhim offers over 120 product ranges, mainly producing and selling synthetic rubbers, resins, and raw material monomers.
Main applications
Because of its excellent electrical insulation, weather resistance, aging resistance, and low air permeability, IIR is used in industrial components such as automobile tire tubes and electrical insulation. It also has excellent water resistance. Its water adsorption property is smaller than that of other synthetic rubbers, and it has good resistance to polar solvents. Its low repulsive elasticity also makes it excellent for vibration absorption applications.
