IR

SKI® IR is an IR produced by the Russian company Sterlitamak.
We have supplied to customers in Southeast Asia.

Russian JSC Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant was established as an independent petrochemical plant in 1966.
Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant produces catalysts, isoprene monomers, and isoprene rubber (IR), amounting to approximately 114,000 tons of isoprene rubber (IR) annually in 2014 corresponding to the 2nd largest production scale in Russia.
The synthetic rubber produced by the company is mainly used for tires of automobile, bicycle, and motorbike and also for industrial rubber products. Sterlitamak has strong partnerships with customers throughout the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States), including Russia, and deploys its products in Russia, Europe and Asia.

Like NR (natural rubber), IR has an isoprene structure, but it has superior resilience and exothermic properties compared to NR. Its main applications are automobile, bicycle, and motorcycle tires and industrial rubber products.
